Tuesday:  The students will extend geometric and numerical patterns and apply function rules. 7.2.spi.1 7.2.spi.2  The students will work in the TCAP coach books

Wednesday:  The students will represent real-world situations with symbols, and evaluate expressions. 7.2.spi.7,7.2.spi.6

Thursday:  The students will solve one-step equations and inequalities. 7.2.spi.8, 7.2.spi.9  The students will complete class examples and a lesson practice in the TCAP coach books.

Friday:  The students will solve real-world problems using equations, and interpret scatter plots. 7.2.spi.8, 7.2.spi.10

Math and Enriched Lesson Plans for March 24th

Monday:  Linear Equations
Today, students will review how to graph points on a coordinate plane.  Students will then complete function charts and graph linear equations.  Students will go over vocabulary words: function rule, domain, range, input, and output.

March 3-7, 2008

All Classes 

Monday: T.L.W. find the missing lengths of triangles using the Pythagorean Theorem.  The students will continue to practice for TCAP using the TCAP practice workbooks.  3rd period (APEX teacher)

Tuesday: T.L.W. continue with square root worksheet #11-1 and 11-2. 7.1 tpi.8, 7.1 tpi.9.

Wednesday: T.L.W.work with the PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM p. 479-482 (9-34) 7.2 tpi.7. Worksheet 11-3.

Thursday: T.L.W. Find areas of Parallelograms. A=bh. The dashed line will show the height. You may use calculators. p. 483-485. 10-32 and Worksheet 11-4. 7.4 tpi.2

Friday: T.L.W. complete mid -Chapt. 11 Practice Test p. 486 (1-16). Homework: Lesson 12-2 (1-12) and 12-3 (1-18) 7/4 tpi.5 sand 6.

Math Classes Monday:  The students will find the area of circles and of complex figures.  spi.7.4.5  The class will discuss the meaning of radius and diameter, and their importance in finding the area of circles.  The students will develop an understanding of splitting one figure to form to familiar figures, then finding the area of both.  spi.7.4.7Homework: pg.499( 4 and 5) 3rd period- The students will attend a seminar with the APEX teacher.Tuesday:  The students will review Geometry. pair of similar figures.  The students will also classify polygons and determine which polygons
