Math Lessons for January 14th

Math (2nd,4th,5th)

 Monday:  The students will solve problems involving scale factors using ratios and proportions. 7.4.spi.8    The students will complete the Mid-Chapter Practice Test with a partner.

Homework: pg.308(STP)

Tuesday:  The students will represent numbers using a variety of equivalent forms (i.e., mixed numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, and integers)  The students will complete activities on pg.s 312 and 313.

Homework: pg.315(37-40)

Wednesday:  The students will represent numbers using a variety of equivalent forms.7.1.spi.3 and connect percents greater than 100 and percents less than one to real-world situations.  The students will complete the activities on pgs. 316 and 317.

Homework:None

Thursday:  The students will use ratios to represent quantitative  relationships. 7.1.spi.2  The students will complete the exercises on pgs. 320 and 321.

Homework: Review for quiz

Friday:  The students will take a quiz over lessons 7-1 through 7-7

 Math(3rd)

 Monday:  The students will classify triangles by angle, size and length of sides. 7.3.spi.2  The students will determine the measure of an angle of a triangle given the measures of the other two angles. 7.3.spi.6 The students will complete the exercises on pgs. 428 and 429.

Homework: pg.430(11-17)

Tuesday:  The students will classify triangles by angle, size and length of sides. 7.3.spi.2  They will determine congruence of line segments, angles, and polygons.

Homework:  pg.431(STP)

Wednesday:  The students will classify polygons by properties.  7.3.spi.4  The students will complete examples on pgs.434 and 435. 

Homework:None

Thursday:  The students will complete the Mid-Chapter Practice Test on pg.438  They will determine whether figures are similar and find a missing length in a pair of similar figures. They will classify polygons and determine which polygons can form a tessellation.

Friday: Quiz on lessons 10-1 through 10-7

Math Lessons for January 7th

Math (2nd, 4th,5th)

Monday:  The students will use ratios to represent quantitative relationships. spi.7.1.12  The students will complete the class examples on pgs. 288 and 289.  The students will extend rate charts to solve real-world problems. spi.7.2.3   They will complete the Practice and Applications on pg.290 in their composition books.Homework: pg.291(33-38)Tuesday: The students will use ratios to represent quantitative relationships. spi.7.1.12  They will extend rate charts to solve real-world problems. spi.7.2.3 Homework: pg. 295(22-29)Wednesday: The students will use ratios to represent quantitative relationships.spi.7.1.12and solve proportions. Tuesday:  The students will select units of appropriate size and type to measure angles, perimeter, area, surface area, and volume.  They will also determine congruence of line segments, angles, and polygons. 7.3.spi.3

Wednesday:The students will interpret circle graphs displaying real-world data. 7.5.spi.2  They will complete the Skill and Concept Check on pg.420.

Thursday:  The students will interpret circle graphs displaying real-world data and determine congruence of line segments, angles, and polygons. 7.3.spi.3   They will complete the exercises on pgs. 422 and 423.

Friday:  The students will take a short quiz on lessons 10-1 through 10-3.
