Math Lessons for December 17th

Math (2nd,3rd,4th,5th)  Monday:  The students will review Chapters 1 and 2. They will solve one- and two- step real-world problems involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. 7.1.spi.8.  They will use powers and exponents.  The students will complete the Standardize Test Practice on pgs. 50 and 51.Homework:  Practice Test on pg. 49 (even only) Tuesday:  The students will review Chapters 1-4.  They will complete the Standardized Practice Test on pg.100 and 101.Homework: Practice Test on  pg.99 (even only)Wednesday:  The students will review Chapters 1-4)  They will complete the Standardized Practice Test on pg.146 and 147.  Homework: NoneThursday:  The students will take an end of the semester test.Happy Holidays!!!!!    :)

Math Lessons for December 10th

Monday:  The students will review all operations with fractions.7.1.spi.8  The students will complete lessons on pgs. 578 and 579.Homework: NoneTuesday:  The students will review converting from one unit to another within the same system. 7.4.spi.3  The class will complete examples involving the customary units of length, weight, and capacity.  The students will also apply formulas to determine the areas of rectangles and triangles. 7.4.spi.1Homework: pg.272 (17-19)Wednesday:  The class will complete examples involving the customary units of length, weight, and capacity. Tuesday: The students will solve one and two step real-world problems involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals 7.1.spi.8. The students will identify the opposite and the reciprocal of a rational number. 7.1.spi.5 The class will discuss the Multiplicative Inverse Property and the Multiplication Property of Equality.

Homework: pg.260(27-30)

Wednesday: The students will connect rational number to locations on the number line. 7.1.spi.11 They will find the probability of a simple event and use a tree diagram or organized list to determine all possible outcomes of a simple compound event. 7.5.spi.6 The class will discuss tree diagrams and their importance. The class will complete the Skill and Concept Check on page 376.

Homework: pg. 377(18-21)

Thursday: The students will use tree diagrams to determine all possible outcomes of a simple compound event. 7.5.spi.6 The students will use multiplication to count outcomes and find the number of permutations of a set of objects.

Friday: The students will take a short quiz on 9-1 through 9-4.
