Math Lessons October 29th

Monday: The students will find the prime factorization of composite numbers, and identify prime and composite numbers up to 50. 7.1.spi.1 The students will compare and contrast prime and composite numbers. They will then work with a partner to complete the “Guided Practice” on pg.199.

Tuesday: The students will find the greatest common factor of two or more numbers.7.1.spi.1 The students will find the gcf of algebraic expressions. The students will complete a worksheet on finding the GCF.

Homework: pg.574(Lesson5-2) (22-27)

Wednesday: The students will continue to find the GCF of numbers and simplify fractions.7.1.spi.1 The students will also represent numbers using a variety of equivalent forms.7.1.spi.3 The students will work together to find the equivalent forms of fractions, decimals, and percents. The students will complete a Mid Chapter Practice test.

Homework: pg.212 (20-31)

Thursday: The class will review for the Mid-Chapter Test.

Monday: Scale Drawings with the APEX teacher.

Tuesday: The students will review solving problems involving scale factors using ratios and proportions. 7.4.spi.8 The students will use ratios to represent quantitative relationships .7.1.spi.12 The students will complete a worksheet on quantitative relationships.

Wednesday:  The students will review for Chapter 7’s test.

Monday: The students will review the concepts learned in Chapter 4. They will work with partners to complete the activities on pgs.186-188.

Homework: Study for Test

 

Tuesday: The class will review Chapter 4.

Wednesday: The students will take a test over Chapter 4.

Homework: Study for test.

Wednesday:  The students will represent numbers using a variety of equivalent forms. spi.7.1.spi.3  They will connect percents greater than 100 and percents less than one to real-world situations. 7.1.spi.6
